Mr. Jeffrey brings over 20 years of senior consulting and operational experience to Pointbreak Consulting. He has a B. Comm. (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
Kevin began his career with a technical focus as a benefit plan underwriter with a major
Canadian insurance company and in 1991 he moved into consulting with an international actuarial firm. Over the years Kevin has consulted to large, medium and small companies in all business sectors including public, private and government organizations.
In
previous organizations he has held roles of Health and Benefits Practice Leader and Senior Vice President. Kevin was also a Partner in one of Canada’s leading Executive Search firms.
Kevin has provided advice on employee benefits, pension arrangements and human resource policy. Kevin now focuses his consulting practice on employee benefit and pension plan design, funding and management. With an understanding of both human resources and finance, he provides advice on the strategic and tactical integration of all employee perks into comprehensive tailored programs that are aligned to corporate policy and human resource strategy, and are delivered in a cost-efficient manner.
Kevin is a Past President and Director of the B.C. Human Resource Management Association. During his time at the BC
HRMA he has served as Secretary Treasurer and Director of Learning Services, in addition to his role as President. He is past
Chair of the BC HRMA Board of Directors nominating committee. He has been a member of the Canadian Council of Human
Resource Associations Federal Affairs Committee. Kevin is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Peopletalk Magazine.
Other appointments have included B.C. Human Rights Commission Employer Advisory Council, Human Resource Faculty Advisor
at the B.C. Institute of Technology, United Way of Calgary Leaders Division and the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation. He is a
speaker and author on numerous HR and benefit topics. |

Mr. Lirette is one of the original founders of Pointbreak Consulting. Mike has been in the financial/accounting sector for over 30 years. He has a B.A. (Commerce) from Simon Fraser University.
Mike began his career with a large international auditing firm. Subsequently he moved into the insurance industry and has held executive positions with two prominent Canadian life insurance companies before founding Pointbreak Consulting in 1993. As Vice-President, Mike was responsible for driving record growth for one of BC’s most prominent insurance companies. Mike’s responsibilities included product development, financial management,
market channel development, client relationship management and consultant management. Mike was an architect of some of the key innovations produced with the insurance company.
In his consulting practice, Mike has focused on employee benefits and pension arrangements. He has consulted to small, medium and large organizations. His focus has included developing competitive underwriting arrangements, benefit plan design and implementation and improving service capabilities. Mike has been actively involved in leadership roles with the United Way of Vancouver and Junior Achievement. He has guest lectured on benefit issues numerous times. |
